Our Commitment

BikeRevive is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

www.bikerevive.lu is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, meaning that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full compliance.

Measures Taken

To ensure accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Regular accessibility audits using automated testing tools (WAVE, Lighthouse)

  • Manual keyboard navigation testing

  • Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)

  • Alt text for all product and service images

  • Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility

  • Resizable text up to 200% without assistive technology

  • Consistent navigation and identification across pages

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations exist on www.bikerevive.lu:

Third-party content:

  • Embedded maps (Google Maps) may not fully meet accessibility standards

  • Payment gateway interfaces are controlled by third parties (Stripe/PayPal) and may present temporary barriers

  • Some older PDF documents (price lists pre-2024) may not be fully accessible

Non-accessible content:

  • Complex bike geometry diagrams rely on visual interpretation; we provide text descriptions upon request

  • Video content published before [Date] lacks captions; we are adding these progressively

We are working to resolve these issues by [Target Date].
